This all seems to be getting a little serious and depressing! So I think it is about time that we lightened things up a bit. Having this happen to the woman I love, it hit me hard. I seemed to have forgotten to see the funny side of all of this.

So let us start with the drug induced humour that only Bunny, seemed to find funny at the time. Ketamine, started the fun. Then the disrobing by the Kent Air Ambulance team completed the show. Hilarity hit when Bunny started asking if she was naked and “can you see my noo noo!” over and over again. It was at this point that Bunny asked for a boob job at the same time as the leg repair.

Ketamine, the fun drug of the day.

On Friday ( 03 09 10 ) the children and I left Bunny for the trip home. The alternator on the car had other ideas. As we left late at night, I had to use the lights all the way back (over 70 miles). So when we lost all the lights, power steering and ABS systems, I thought we might be in trouble. Calling the insurance company, whilst steaming down the road, to see if we still had recovery, “Yes sir” was the reply “if within 10 miles of your home”! Any further and we have to pay per mile (check your insurance). When the battery finally gave out and the recovery truck arrived, Bunny, decided then to call to see if we got home OK. Adam took the call, “I’m on the loo Mum and Jade and Dad are out getting dog food”. We even told friends to keep up the story so as not to upset Bunny, who at that point was blaming herself for everything. Silly girl. Love you.

I am a bloke, so with no time to fix it and with the I-can-manage attitude, I charged the battery over the weekend and took a spare in the boot with jumper cables, I went to collect Bunny from London. Can you see what is coming? I got there fine. Wheeling Bunny to the left I told her what happened Friday (what a laugh) and that I was equipped for anything. So I get Bunny in the car and.... Nothing, dead as a dodo. So I stick the next battery in and... Nothing! Bugger. 2 hours later, with Bunny stuck in the basement car park, the AA charged the battery for 30 minutes to get us home. Once again, we lost steering, ABS, lights and the wipers too (which we needed).
