And what I thought of them

It is true, I never read a book for myself until I was 27 years old. Never got lost in different worlds, time and space. I never realised what I was missing out on. Why? As a child I had one hell of a time reading. Therefore I never enjoyed it, reading became a task, an effort. It was not until I was in my thirties that I found out I have to wear Irlens or Harris filters. When I got the glasses with the correct tint in the lens, I read everything and enjoyed it. So what changed my view of the world of litterateur? Wilt, a very funny book indeed. I was living in a caravan with no electricity, so no TV, and needed something to occupied my time. My father gave me the book a year before and I decided, out of boredom, to read it. I was hooked. I have never looked back. Below I will try and list a few of the many books I have read since then. I will also give a brief Plot run and what I thought of them. Maybe you will pick up a copy.

Best price books from charity shops

I did not read my first book until I was 27

I now have hundreds of books. Most of which I have now read. I do have some rare ones, signed ones and some quite strange ones too. This would have cost me a small fortune if I would have bought these from a book shop, even if it was online. As it is, I find the best place to buy books is your local charity shops in your local town. I do tend to buy hard backs, not paperbacks, I still do not know why. I do have a few paperbacks, these are the books that I tend to read over and over again. The book I have read quite a few times now is Small Gods by Terry Pratchett. It is probably the best bit of escapism that I have ever read.

Terry Pratchett.
Michael Crichton.
Henri Charrière.
