The very palce to open your minds

Why is it so inconceivable that there is life out there. Even an advanced Alien life form, with Billions of years of evolution behind them? The real question should be: How can we think that we are the only life form in a Universe that is over 5 Billion years older than our planet?

There are roughly 200 to 400 Billion Stars in our Galaxy alone. Most are the centre of their own Solar Systems.  NASA believe that there are an estimated 500 Billion Galaxies in our Universe.

They would not look like us

So where do we start? Aliens, what sort of thing could be out there. Well the options are open to any outcome. It maybe that they have been to our planet already, not found a lot here, and left to carry on their voyage. What? I hear you say. Well let us think about it. Our planet has had 5 major Extinction events that we know of. If we were visited at that time, why would they bother to come back. The oldest human type of being ever found is 5 to 7 Ma (million years) old. That was more monkey than man. The earliest human, that looks like human, is only 160,000 years old. Yet our planet is 4.5 Billion years old. Our Galaxy is over 5 Billion years old. The Universe (best guess) is said to 12 to 15 Billion years old.

If man can evolve within 1 Ma, on this small planet. Then what could exist out there with uninterrupted growth? What could be out there with 1 Billion years of evolution, or even 2 or 3 Billion years. Look how far man has come in just the last 2000 years. Where will we be in another 2000 years? Maybe the stars and beyond.

And you still think there is nothing out there?

It is therefore feasible that an Alien race, with 1 Billion years of evolution, not just a few million, could have travelled here 65 Ma, just after the last Mass Extinction. Why would they bother to come back. There may well be lots of planets at the same stage of life, or even more advanced. Out there in the Universe. We have yet to get that far.
